Another one of Dalhart's grand dames has gone to her eternal rest. She'll be long remembered as a fine lady who made many good and lasting contributions to her church and community. She was a loving mother I know. God bless you all.

Marie Keast is not merely the mother of one of my best, closest and most cherished childhood friends, she had a huge influence on my values, personal standards and expectations for adulthood. I remember most fondly the stayovers on Scott street--even very vividly one particular discussion around the kitchen table of the 1960 Presidential campaign when JFK/LBJ led the ticket!

The entire Keast family was a vital part of making Dalhart the place we all cherish and each one was a true friend to every member of the Nisbett family.

All of the Keasts have been in our thoughts and prayers since learning yesterday morning of her passing. We will be there in spirit today and will observe reflective silence during the time of her memorial service.

Naturally, we will make a donation in fondness to her enduring memory and impact on our lives in Dalhart.

In deepest love and respect on the behalf of all the JG Nisbetts, Rick
