Georgia Rammage, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Dalhart, Texas
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm CDT at the Bertrand Cemetery with Billy Rammage officiating.
Georgia Alberta Rammage was born on May 19, 1924 in Felt, Oklahoma to Albert and Irene Howell Hill. Her early years were spent in Felt where she started school. She and her family moved to Guymon for a few years, but returned to Felt where she graduated at the top of her class. Georgia studied at Panhandle A & M at Goodwell for four years, earning a BA degree. She taught school at Haviland Kansas, Felt Oklahoma, and Kit Carson, Colorado. While teaching at Felt, Georgia married Joe Lee Rammage on May 4, 1946 in Clayton, New Mexico. They lived in Clayton where Joe worked for Colorado Interstate Gas and then transferred to Kit Carson, Colorado. Over the years, Georgia moved to Rawlings Wyoming, Lakin Kansas, and Elkhart, Kansas. Joe and Georgia retired in Dalhart in 1982. Georgia enjoyed all types of crafts and excelled in all of them. She was an excellent seamstress and did beautiful embroidery and needlepoint work. Her nieces received hand painted shirts. She did fantastic ceramic paintings as well as nature pictures. She enjoyed traveling tremendously.
She is survived her husband Joe, a sister – Billy Ruth French, Sister-in-laws- Mary Hill and Ann Hill, Brother-in-law- Bill Rammage and many nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by her parents and brothers Chester and R. J. Hill.
